1. Anatomy of 369 Card Patterns
The 2026 NMJL card presents multiple variations of 369 hands:
- Monochrome (1-Suit) Multiples: Concentrates on 3, 6, and 9 in one suit (e.g.
33 66 999 3333 or 333 6666 9999).
- 369 with Matching Dragons: Harmonizes 3, 6, 9 with their corresponding suit dragons (Craks with Reds, Bams with Greens, Dots with Soaps).
- Concealed 369 Hands: Marked with a (C), requiring all tiles to be drawn self-contained behind the rack.
2. The Fast-Break Advantage
Because only three numerical values are required, players eliminate 66% of the number pool, giving draws a higher density of relevance. Kongs and Quints provide high-capacity landing spots for Jokers.
3. Strict Dragon Matching Laws
Like the 2468 and 13579 sections, dragon pairings are strictly enforced: Green Dragons with Bams, Red Dragons with Craks, and White Dragons (Soaps) with Dots.
